Biltong is a South African delicacy similar to jerky (but distinctly different). It's a form of dried/cured meat (commonly beef or game) with spices and flavours. The meat is first rubbed with spices and then dried and cured under controlled conditions for a few days.
The word "Biltong" comes from the Dutch words bil ("rump") and tong ("strip").
We cater to the different tastes people have in biltong. We sell "wet" biltong (dried for a shorter period), as well as the drier kind, we can supply your biltong sliced, in stokkies (small sticks) or in its original larger piece. |
